Sometimes things get so busy in the studio that we forget to shout about the good stuff. This is one of those times, so better late than never!
Last year, Beckview Studios was selected as the Studio Spotlight by the Music Producers Guild (MPG). For those unfamiliar, the MPG is the UK's leading professional body for music producers, engineers, and studio professionals. Being recognised by an organisation of this calibre was a tremendous honour, and it meant the world to our small team here on the Yorkshire Coast.
The feature highlighted what we set out to do every single day… guide artists towards their musical vision through collaboration, expertise, and a genuine love for the craft. It was incredibly rewarding to see that philosophy acknowledged by an industry body we have long admired.
The MPG spotlight also shone a light on what makes Beckview a little different: our commitment to capturing authentic sound using vintage gear with a modern approach, our boutique residential accommodation that allows musicians to stay and create freely around the clock, and of course, our stunning location near the village of Scalby, Scarborough. We have always believed that the right environment plays a huge role in the creative process, and it was wonderful to see that reflected in the feature.
We were especially pleased that our Live at Beckview sessions received a mention. These audio and video recording sessions have become a real passion project for us, and they continue to connect and promote talented musicians right across the Yorkshire Coast scene. Seeing that work recognised on a national platform is something we do not take for granted.
A huge thank you to the Music Producers Guild for the feature, and to every artist, collaborator, and supporter who has helped put Beckview on the map. We are just getting started.
Chris, Kristina, and The Beckview Team
