The Accommodation


Beckview Studios is one of the few independent recording studios that also provides private, onsite self-catering residential accommodation.


This means if you are working with us, then you can relax and be safe in the knowledge our comfortable apartment is just a staircase away.


The spacious first-floor apartment offers a unique combination of a 3-bed apartment (for up to 6 guests) and 1 spacious ensuite double bedroom (for up to 2 guests) which includes tea and coffee making facilities.


Both self-catering accommodations can be booked together, subject to availability, or can be booked as separate, independent lets.


Beckview Studios Apartments is perfect for bands, producers and other recording artists as it’s just seconds from the studio, with private parking and good facilities.


Staying in this private accommodation means less tiring travel, and the opportunity to make the most of your time in the studios.


The apartments can also be booked by families wanting to have a superb seaside holiday on the Yorkshire Coast.

Local Roads, Parking and Public Transport

 

Beckview is close to the A171, the Scarborough to Whitby road.

Other local main artery roads include the A64, the A165 and the A174.

Local bus companies include Arriva and East Yorkshire Buses.

The nearest railway station is Scarborough, served by Northern Rail and Transpennine Express.

Parking is provided for Beckview guests but Scarborough has plenty of car parks and some with EV charging facilities.

Scarborough is just one of several coastal resorts along the Yorkshire Coast, including Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Filey, and Bridlington.

Head inland to historic market towns including Pickering, Malton, Driffield and Beverley.

Scalby Village Guide

 

Scalby is a large village in an enviable location: just a short walk from the coast with excellent road links and excellent facilities.

The village itself is mentioned in the Domesday Book as Scallebi, which means a settlement surrounded by forest.

The village has links with the historic Duchy of Lancaster.

The former Scarborough to Whitby Railway Line (now the Cinder Track opened in 1885, situated on the outskirts of the village.

This line was closed in 1965.

St Laurence’s Church, parts of which can be traced back to 1150, is the oldest recorded building in the village.
